President's Message
by James R. Cabaniss
US Army, Retired
Dear American Citizen,
The General has laid out the challenge in a commanding way and we
have accepted it! As a result of the General's challenge we have
founded a non-profit, Washington, D.C. corporation under the name
"American Veterans in Domestic Defense"
(AVIDD). As the name implies, we pledge to renew our
oath, "To defend the United States and it's Constitution against
all enemies both foreign and domestic". The time has arrived
when we must deal with those enemies within our boundaries.
Our commander is General Raymond G. Davis, U.S. Marine Corps., Retired,
one of the most respected and decorated military veterans America
has ever produced. He has served his country with distinction in
defending against foreign enemies. He led ground troops in World
War II, in Korea, and Vietnam. That is how he was awarded the 4-Stars,
Medal of Honor, Navy Cross, Distinguished Service Medal (2), Silver
Star (2), Legion of Merit (2), Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and 5
Presidential Unit Citations. Those who know him say they are proud
to serve with him again.
The General is 84 years young, vibrant, energetic, and wants to
do more for his country. He believes we have allowed to many domestic
enemies loose in our beloved country and we must deal with them.
We as veterans, who have fought under his leadership, believe that
his "ABOUT FACE AMERICA" campaign is right on target.
AVIDD is not intended to be
a military force, but instead a high-powered, high-level diplomatic
force. As one veteran said, "Be as nice as we can, but as assertive
as we have to be".
We are not looking for something from our government, but want to
once again serve our country - and help return America to the vision
of our forefathers under the Constitution and our Bill of Rights.
We are ready, willing, and able to serve again for the great and
noble cause of freedom. Please join us!
James Cabaniss
